1 GB Encrypted USB Flash Drive and Security Token Product Description The Authenex® A-Key 4000 token is a an extremely secure encrypted flash drive. All data stored on the A-Key® 4000 token is encrypted using strong AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption technology. The token itself is password and brute force protected. This ensures that the confidentiality of information stored on the A-Key® 4000 token is protected from intrusion, loss or theft. Because it does not require user installation, this secure flash drive can be taken and used anywhere. Secure Flash Drive Mobility Users do not have to install drivers in order to make this secure flash drive work: they just plug it in and it works. Encryption All files saved onto the A-Key® 4000 token are encrypted on the fly using AES encryption. The encryption functionality is built into the secure flash drive's chip itself. It is not an application installed on the drive: it cannot be altered or erased. Password Management The A-Key® 4000 token has at least one level of password protection: the user level. However, two levels are available: the user and admin levels. This gives the system administrator a greater degree of control over all the A-Key® 4000 token secure flash drives that have been deployed. Privacy No user data stored in the My Documents folder on the A-Key® 4000 token is visible unless the user correctly logs in to it. Peace of Mind Against Loss or Theft For added security in the event that the A-Key® 4000 token is lost or stolen, if someone tries to log in and fails a configurable number of times, the secure flash drive will automatically erase all user data and restore its factory default settings. This functionality is also built into the secure flash drive’s chip itself. It is not an application on the drive: it cannot be altered or erased.
